ADV or NVL? This is the problem!

Hello everyone,
well, today I want to talk about a problem that often plagues the creators of visual novels: choosing between the adv and nvl modes.
OOOk, but what the hell is ADV and NVL mode?
They are the two main ways of displaying text.
In the ADV text is shown sentence by sentence (often groups of 2/3 sentences). you read a sentence, click the mouse, and a new line is shown to you.  Whether they are dialogue, descriptions or characters thoughts, with the adv phrases finds space in the box below sprites. It is like a kind of subtitle.
Otherwise, NVL mode occupies the whole screen. Text will become a real wall, behind which there will be sprites and backgrounds.

ADV and NVL both have advantages and disadvantages. For example: ADV is easier to use, it always persists on the screen and allows the player to see the drawings.
In the same way, NVL offers the writer a real sheet of paper, a page, on which to write the script in total relaxation.
But, when writing a script in ADV mode, you will soon realize that each group of sentences must make sense of its own, since the player cannot go back. NVL mode on the other hand is like a real book, the writer is facilitated, but it tends to hide the designs and backgrounds (it could be great if your designs are not exceptional, though), but NVL is more difficult to program. Unlike the ADV it must be hidden and shown many times, especially when the scene changes or the characters change their expressions.
In many visual novels both solutions are adopted, although the ADV remains the predominant one.
But what are the VNs in ADV mode and in NVL mode? A few examples:

ADV MODE: Clannad, Ever17, Katawa Shoujo, Doki Doki Literature Club...
NVL MODE: Fate/Stay Night, Saya no Uta,  Higurashi When They Cry...

For "One day to disappear", I chose the NVL mode because I have a lack of sprites and backgrounds and because it is my first project, therefore easier to write. In my videogame there is a lot of space for the protagonist's internal psychological talk, which very often tells the past days, with many flashbacks. I thought NVL might be the best choice!

Stay tuned for more updates. I am about to relaunch the official DEMO, in English!
